ENR (Engineering News-Record), the construction industry's longstanding trade publication covering design, construction, and technology news for engineers, contractors, and owners nationwide, featured Provision in an August 2026 article on AI agents transforming preconstruction scoping. DeMarie described why scoping had been such a persistent gap despite his team's enthusiasm for bidding itself: "People love to bid jobs, there's a competitive nature to it, some excitement over whether you win or lose. But scoping is a tedious job. We don't have trouble finding estimators and everyone enjoys bidding, but when you're preparing all these bids at the same time, you don't have the time to scope it out very well." La Corte was equally direct about how Provision fits into an estimator's existing workflow: "It would be a hard time getting a general contractor away from their Excel spreadsheets, so we're not trying to make our own Excel."
